SERIOUSLY HURT
SALESMAN ASSAULTED
A STRANGE AFFAIR

AUCKLAND, This Day,
Attacked by two men,who entered a garage in Farrar Street, off Richmond Road, at 11.30 last night, George A. North, salesman, aged 34/ was battered about the head and left lying in the garage, which his-assailants-locked.
Mr. North eventually forced the doors open and went to a ' nearbymotorist for assistance. After being attended to by: a doctor he was taken to hospital. His condition is serious.
The affairis a complete mystery. Mr. North had in his pockets a total of £25 in money and this was not.taken by his assailants. .
