STONED IN BELGRADE
ITALIAN FOOTBALLERS
LONDON, June 4,
The Belgrade correspondent of the "Daily Mail" reports that stones were hurled at an Italian Association" football team during a match in which it defeated Yugoslavia, 2-1, after a rough game.
Immediately it ended a hostile mob besieged the Italians' dressing-room, shouting and booing and necessitating police reinforcements. The Italians were also stoned as they left in motorbuses for their hotel.
