Convicted of stealing two verandah posts, valued at £10, Herbert Edward Norton, a second-hand dealer, aged 51, was ordered by Mr. J. L. Stout. S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today, to come up for-sentence if called upon within six months, a condition being that he make restitution within one month.

Sub-Inspector D. J. O'Neill, who pro.secuted, said that the accused was a scrap metal dealer, and possessed a handcart. About March 21 last he went to the rear of the Hotel Bristol building, where he found two metal verandah posts.
