REFUGEES IN BRITISH ARMY
LONDON, May 24.
The War Minister, Mr. Hore-Belisha, announced in the House of Commons today that refugees would not be accepted in the army. He said that in the present circumstances the introduction of foreign elements would impose too great a strain on the capacities of the forces, which would be fully occupied in training reservists, Territorials, and militiamen.
