REMANDS GRANTED

A remand until next Monday was granted by Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday, in the case of Maurice Blackmore Tattle, aged 28, a salesman, who is charged with having been in a state of intoxication while in charge of a car in Wakefield Street. Mr. R. Hardie Boys appeared for the defendant. Bail was allowed.

Raymond Julian Jqrgensen, aged 20, a clerk, was remanded until May 31 on a charge of stealing £20 3s 6d from' Preston and Thompson, Ltd. Detec-tive-Sergeant P. Doyle said that there would be other charges.
