The autumn exhibition of -the NewZealand Academy of Fine Arts at the National Art Gallery, Buckle Siraat,. is 1 proving a popular attraction icy the public who visited it in larga numbers'during the weekend. Ths pictures this year are well up to tha standard of those of previous exhibitions, the water-colour section baing particularly, strong. Art lovers desirous of purchasing a picture for their homes are assured of a wide variety in both subject matter and style from which to make a choice. A number cf the pictures already are marked with the red disc indicating that.tfiey have found purchasers. Those sold are as follows:— "Afterglow, Wellington Harbour," by R. J. Waghorn; - "Cherry Blossom," by Jean McKay; Gathering Cloudy Rate," by W. Basil Honour; "Snow on the Takaka Hills, Nelson," and "Kaiteriteri, Nelson," by Marjdrie Naylor; "Canterbury," by Archibald F. Nicoll; , "Manuka Near I Little River," by A. A. Deans.
