RELIGIOUS SERVICES. CHRISTADELPHIANS I 0.0. F. HALL, ALLEN STREET '■•0.0.F HALL, ALLEN STREET (Or-p Paramount, Courtenay Place.) THE SECOND LECTURE of the Series under the title of "TURNED UNTO FABLES" will be delivered (God willing) in the above hall on SUNDAY, at 7 p.m., when further evidence will be produced from the Scriptures to show that the erroneous doctrines of'the Churches of Christendom literally fulfil the following prediction of the Apostle Paul: "THE TIME WILL COME WHEN THEY WILL NOT ENDURE SOUND DOCTRINE. . . THEY SHALL TURN AWAY THEIR EARS FROM THE TRUTH, AND SHALL BE TURNED UNTO FABLES." (2 Tim. 4:3-4, see also 2 Pet. 2:1-2, Luke 18:8, Isa. 60:2, Isa. 25:7, Jer. 16:19, etc.) The Subject will be — "HEAVEN-GOING AT DEATH—A FABLE" BIBLE TEACHING IS— (1) THAT the righteous do not go to heaven on the day of death, but are really dead knowing nothing.^ (John 3:13, Acts 2:34, John 13:33, John 8:21-22, Ecc. 9:5, Ece. 9:10, Psa. 6:5, Psa. 115:17, Psa. 146: M.) (2) THAT therefore the righteous cannot be rewarded until subjects of a resurrection from among the dead—an event which will occur at the second coming of Christ. (Luke 14:14, Luke 20:35-36, Acts 24:15, John 5:28-29, Dan. 12:2, 1 Cor. 15:12-16, Rev. 11:18,----1 Thess. 4:16, Job 19:25-27, Psa. 17:15, Isa. 26:19, Phil. 3:11.). (3) THAT then the righteous in being rewarded with eternal life do not exist as disembodied "immortal souls," but they become possessed of immortal bodies and as immortal bodily beings they reign with Christ in the coming Kingdom of God on earth. (1 Cor. . 15:51-54, Phil. 3:20-21, Roms. 8:23, Luke 20:35-36, 1 John 3:2, 1 Cor. 15:20-23, Luke 24:36-43, Matt. 25:34, Dan. 7:27, Rev. 20:6, Rev. 5:9-10, Rev. 2:26-27, 1 Cor. 6:2.) Questions invited. No collection. For true Bible teaching read the book, "Christendom Astray." A copy will be sent free on application to "Bible Truth," care above hall. z^S^x nrnr templ* Jf^mmW Lome Street. Think of the thousands who will read it in a year, especially with the Exhibition coming on. Remember the Word of God speaks for itself. The Lord has declared, '"His word shall not return unto Him void." Isa. 55:11. In view of, ths apostasy and false teaching abounding, this is a most essential work. Our desire to see these texts exhibited is increased by the following incident. We met a lady a day or two ago who had had tragedy in her life. She appealed to a modernist preachei for a wor-1 of comfort from the Scriptures. His reply was to the effect that it was not his business to coi.iii.ent on the1 Scriptures. We would remind him and all professing Christiaus that the 'first recorded " Words of our Blessed Lord were: "Wist ye not that I must be about My Father's business?" Luke 2:49. The Lord has left us here for that purpose. Remember our short life of service for Him here will soon be past- for ever. Remember He gave His all that we might be redeemed from death and hell. Remember that all we have or ever hope to have comes to us from that great Work of Calvary. Pray, Christian, pray and keep your eyes on Him, "He is able." Further particulars from F. J.
