MANOEUVRES IN NORTH

WHANGAREI, This Day.
The biggest mounted military camp held in Northland was augmented by the arrival of a motorised squadron, consisting of 28 cars and lorries, 40 motor-cycles, and two Bren carriers. Five hundred mounted men and the motorised squadron set out at 11 o'clock last night on a 15-mile trek to the Titoki district, where a "battle" began at daybreak.
