BOSTON, May 12, A bow-on collision occurred between :wo fishing schooners 115 miles from
Boston,
Both vessels sank quickly,
The" total crews of the vessels involved in the collision are estimated I at 48, of whom one died of a heart attack, and nine were rescued after being adrift for forty-eight hours in their night clothes. Twenty-seven others were picked up by other vessels. The skippers of both schooners and nine other men are not accountedfor.
