CLARRIE GORDON

Clarrie Gordon, New Zealand Olympic representative, will make his debut as a professoinal on Monday night at Auckland against Bert McKay, a hardpunching local lightweight who is also a newcomer to professional ranks. Gordon has had a successful and spectacular career during which he has taken part in 46 contests, of which he has won 41, drawn 1, and lost 4. He has held three New Zealand titles, one Australian and New Zealand, three Taranaki, and three Wangariui.

That Gordon is a scientific boxer is borne out by the fact of his winning the Jameson Belt at the New Zealand amateur championships. His opponent is an aggressive non-stop fighter.
