INVALID DIET
During convalescence after influenza patients often lack appetite and find their food insipid, states an overseas writer. A good meat extract may then be found useful. It may be spreafi lightly over the toast on which a poached or scrambled egg is to be served. It may be used to flavour an omelet, or spread as a sandwich filling between thin bread and butter or plain biscuits. With steamed fish it may be used instead of sauce, and it has the advantage of being nourishing, digestible, and easy to prepare.
