FALL INTO HOLD
SHIP'S OFFICER INJURED

Serious injuries were received by the chief officer of the Union Steam Ship Company's vessel, Karepo, Mr. Kehoe, at Westport this morning. Soon after berthing, Mr. Stehoe and members of the crew were attending to the winch. Mr. Kehoe slipped and fell backward; down the open hatchway, to the bottom of the hold, a distance of 30 feet. After attention, Mr. Kehoe was removed to the Bulier Hospital, where his condition last evening was stated to be serious. The extent of his mii juries is not known.
