AUCKLAND, May 12,

; Two men, who were arrested on the arrival of the Awatea from Sydney on $day 5, appeared in the Magistrate's Court charged with stowing away on the vessel at Sydney on May 2. They jwere Lewis Asher, farm hand, aged &2, and Allen David Kellett, miner, aged 24. Both pleaded guilty. Asher, a New Zealander, who had been before the Court before leaving ■for Australia eight years ago, was admitted to probation and ordered to make restitution of the fare of £9. Kellett, who had boarded the Awatea independently of Asher, was admitted to probation for a year, and was also ordered to make restitution of a similar amount
