AUSTRAL NEW ZEALAND MINING.
The third annual meeting of shareholders of Austral New Zealand Mining Limited was held in Christchurch yesterday. Mr. Fred. G. Dunn was in the chair. Mr. E. E. G. Boyd, of Taiping, Federated Malay States, a director of the company who has just concluded a visit of inspection to the dredge building operations of the company at Lowburn, Central Otago, explained to shareholders the progress of work to date. Armament construction in Great Britain had caused serious delays in the delivery of dredge superstructure and equipment, but an acceleration in progress is now expected. The retiring directors, Messrs. F. Leverrier, K.C., of Sydney, and H. Huntsman, of Ipoh, F.M.S., were reelected to the board.
