A MILLION APPLICATIONS IN
TWELVE WEEKS

LONDON, May 8,
Addressing the Rotarians Congress, the Minister of Supply, Dr. E. L. Burgin, said that in twelve weeks a million citizens had applied for national service, and there had been 600,000 definite enrolments in the first fortnight.
He appealed to employers to place no obstacle in the way of young people filling the gaps in the Territorials,
