NEW SHOOTING SEASON

The first casualty of the local shoot* ing season occurred just after daylight this morning, when Mr. W. J. Brydon, proprietor of the Kamo Hotel, had his foot so badly injured that its amputation is regarded as inevitable.,
Mr. Brydon slipped on dead leaves on a slope and his gun went off, the charge passing through his foot. His cries for help brought assistance and he was taken to hospital by an ambulance.
