RUGBY, April 19.
This year the British Army manoeuvres, which are to be held from about September 15 to 23, will include a strategic road-and-rail move by th« First Army Corps from Aldershot to Yorkshire.
The purpose of the manoeuvres wUJ be to practise on a large scale the functioning of a modern army corp| under conditions approximating aj nearly as possible to those of real war< fare. The Royal Air Force will coi operate."
In order that conditions should bq as realistic as possible, the allied forces, as well as an enemy force, will be represented. The railway companies are to co-operate, and special troop trains* as well as special trains carrying pet", rol, ammunition, and food, will run.
Supply is to be practised as in war and will be subject to enemy air action. Strong air forces co-operating with the enemy will attack the strategic move from Aldershot to, Yorkshire. "•
Many distinguished visitors, in?eluding military representatives oi.px^ Dominions and foreign natipns, wHl*be: invited to watch the manoeuvres.
