CENTENNIAL FUND
PROPOSED TUG-OF-WAR
The Hutt Valley Centennial Carnival Committee has been advised that members of the Petone Working Men's Club have formed a committee to arrange for a series of interprovincial tugSrof-war. The Wellington holders of the Will Appleton Shield have placed the shield at the disposal of the committee. Contests -will be held each evening in the Empire Theatre, Petone, and will commence on June 5. Possibly the final tug-of-war will be held on the Petone Recreation Ground.
