HERRON—-ROBERTSON,

Blue hydrangeas, autumn flowers, and foliage decorated St. Stephen's Church, Lower Hutt, recently, for the wedding of Margaret Dunn (Maisie), only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Robertson, Lower Hutt, and Arnold Featherstone, only son of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Herron, Island Bay. The Rev. J. Lopdell officiated.

The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore an Edwardian gown of ivory patterned and embossgd satin. It was cut on slim-fitting lines and made with a slight train falling from a pointed bodice. The embroidered tulle veil fell from three gardenias which were arranged in her hair. She carried a sheaf of cream gladioli, roses, carnations, and maidenhair fern.

Miss Mattie Robertson, cousin of the bride, and Miss Thelma Jones were bridesmaids They were dressed alike in sea-mist chiffon dentelle. fashioned on slim-fitting line& and worn with mittens and shoes to tone Matching short veils with haloes of tiny feathers were worn, and sheaves of salmon-pink gladioli, roses, carnations, and maidenhair fern were carried.

Sunday school children sang at the wedding of Sybil Mary, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Beauchamp, Otaki, to Leslie Earle, youngest' son of Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Monk, Otaki. The Rev. Mr. Watson officiated at the ceremony which was performed in All Saints' Church, Otaki. Miss Allan was at the organ.

The bride was escorted by her brother,, Mr. A. P. Beauchamp, in the absence of her father owing to illness. Her gown of magnolia satin was made: with a softly-draped bodice, heartshaped neckline* and a trained slimfitting skirt. The veil fell from a coronet of orange blossoms to forira a second train. The bridesmaids, Misses Noeline Monk, Isobel Manz, and Iris Monk, wore floral sprays on the shoulders of their frocks of silk crinkle chiffon over taffeta. Their tulle veils fell from haloes, and their Victorian posies were to tone. Mr. F. R. Manz was best man and Messrs. B. and W. Monk were groomsmen. Messrs. C. Beauchamp and R. Monk were ushers. Mrs. Beauchamp was wearing a navy ensemble and carried a bouquet in autumn tones, and the bridegroom's mother wore a burgundy ensemble and carried a posy to tone. COLLINS—RASMUSSEN. St. John's Church, Willis Street, was the scene on a recent evening of the wedding of Miss Hazel Helene Metia, eldest daughter -f Mr. and Mrs. H. Rasmussen, of Wellington, and grandniece of the Hon. Mrs. Dobie, Craig Esk Estate, Scotland, and Wanford,! only son of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Collins, Christchurch.

The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a Grecian gown of sheer embossed satin. Her modern coronet was of tiny feathers, and she carried an armlet of white and pink begonias. She was attended by the Misses Mavis and Pear] Rasmussen and Miss Aileen Collins. The bridegroom's mother wore a brown tailored costume, with accessories to tone. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was : .a mole cape.

A wedding of interest to many Wellington and Marlborough people took olace recently at St. Jude's Church. Lyall Bay. when Patricia, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Harvey. Manaroa. Pelorus Sounds, was married to Frank, only son of Mr. and Mrs. W F Ponder. Wellington.

The bride, who was escorted by her father, chose a gown of ivory satin, the skirt being cut on classical lines and falling into a long pointed train. A feature of the bridal gown was the satin, hand-embroidered on to net. at the V-shaped neckline and edging the wide Grecian sleeves. Her tulle veil, worn' over the face, was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms, and she carried a sheaf of cream gladioli and roses.

Newtown. -The Rev. A. G. Gardiner conducted the ceremony and Mr. G. Randall was at the organ.
