CHILDREN'S GARDEN CIRCLE

(Special to the "Evenino Post") : ' WANGANUI, April 19. "Inquiries have been received from all over the Dominion regarding the forming of branches of the children's garden circle," states the annual report of the circle, "and to date 1560 children are enrolled." This remarkable organisation started at Wanganui some seven years ago with 100 members, and today many of the first pupils are finding interesting and profitable employment in nurseries and florist shops. One of the objects is to make gifts of flowers to the sick, the aged, and homes, and many appreciative letters have been received from those so cheered. The Wanganui circle staged an impressive display at the national show held at New Plymouth, and at the annual meeting a letter from the show secretary stated that the children's display was one of he most attractive, and astounded those who had not seen the work of the children. J. Ammundson, a junior member of the circle, was presented with the National Daffodil Society's bronze medallion for an outstanding exhibit.
