MANAWATU SHOW
(Special to the "Evening Post.")
PALMERSTON N., This' Day.
Butter and cheese entries for the Manawatu A. and P. Association's Winter Show are in excess of those received last year, the figures being: Butter 283 entries, cheese 237 entries, making a total of 520, compared with 439 for the 1938 exhibition. The response is considered very satisfactory considering the dry season. Space for the industrial exhibits is reported to be rapidly filling up; there are few stands left in the machinery and motor halls. Several regular exhibitors have increased the size of their stands. Space in the competitive halls will be severely taxed, principally on account of the big area to be occupied by the Department of Agriculture and record entries in the bacon class. \
