NEW ZEALAND GIRLS IN SYDNEY
Thirty-three girls from the New ZeaU 1 Y.W.C.A. spent Easter in Sydney, and met teams from the Sydney Y.W.C.A. at basketball, oaseball, badminton, and tennis, in which the honours were more or less evenly divided, states the "Sydney Morning Herald." The girls will remain in Australia untij Saturday. Sydney had an easy win at basketball, which was unexpected, as the game is much more popular m the Dominion; but the New Zealanders retaliated with a hollow win against the Sydney girir at tennis. After the events the visitors divided into several parties, some going to Canberra, others to Melbourne, and a few to Brisbane. All were anxious to see as much of Australia as possible during so sl.ort a visit. Varied interests and talents are evident among the visitors, and Sydney sportswomen were interested to learn that two of the Auckland girls were attending the newly-established course in physical education at Auckland University.
