TOTANGI OIL BORE

GISBORNE, This Day. The New Zealand Petroleum Company advises that the Totangi oil bore has now reached a depth of 3830 feet. The formation now being penetrated is tough shale, which makes progress rather slow. The deviation from the vertical is only two degrees, which is satisfactory.
