MARTHA MINE
DIVIDEND REDUCED
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, April 19
The directors of the Martha Gold Mining Company (Waihi), Limited, are recommending a final dividend for 1938 of 9d a share, free of tax, according to advice received by Mr. R. G. Milligan, local director and attorney. The dividend will be payable on May 5. The annual meeting will be held in London on May 4. The accounts, which will be published on April 21, will show a net profit for the year of £69,342, compared with £100,427 for 1937. An interim dividend of 9d a share, free of tax, was distributed in November, so that the year's payment is Is 6d a share, equal to 30 per cent., as against 2s a share, or 40 per cent., paid in 1936 and 1937.
