During the weekend three .young men decided to catch eels in the Mangahao River, near Ruawhata, states the "Pahiatua Herald." With spears and pieces of bent iron the fishermen worked hard for two hours, and they were surprised at the results, for in that time 208 eels of all sizes had l^een secured.
