SHOT AS A SPY
FRENCH CIVILIAN

NANCY, April 18.
The first French civilian who has been executed for spying since the Great War, Francois Gruneberg, was shot at dawn. It was alleged that he engaged in espionage work for a foreign Power at the time of the September crisis.
