PEACE CONFERENCE
A MILLION SIGNATURES TO
BRITISH PETITION
LONDON, April 18
The National Peace Council has cabled President Roosevelt informing him that a million signatories to a British petition for a new peace conference have been secured.
The council welcomes his "historic peace initiative" and pledges itself to make efforts to secure British support.
