CITIZENS' NURSERY
VALUABLE WORKERS RETIRE
The resignation of Mrs. 3. P. Firth from the committee was! received at the annual meeting .of the Citizens' Day Nursery- Mrs. Firth has been a member since its inception 18 years ago. For some years she was hon. secretary and treasurer, and since then has been a member of the general and executive committees, and a trustee of the funds.
The Day Nursery was founded by Lady Gray, who now resides in London. It has proved a valuable institution for mothers and fathers and guardians who have no place of shelter to leave their children during working hours. The children are cared for, given a good midday meal, and returned clean and fresh to thfcir people at,the end of the day. The nursery has prospered, and its success is largely due to the work of Lady Gray, the founder, and the late Lady Luke, both of whom were ardent workers and devoted to the cause.
Mrs. H. Gaby, who has been a popular and untiring matron for twelve years, is also retiring.
