OBITUARY
MRS. M. A. LACHMAN.
Many friends will mourn the loss of Mrs. M. A. Lachman, a highly-re-spected citizen of Wellington, whose death at the age of 85 years occurred at the weekend.
Nearly sixty years ago she arrived at Wellington from Dunedin, with her husband, the late Mr. Josef Lachman, who established the business firm of P. Hayman and Company in the rity. The funeral service was conducted by the Rev. J. R. Blanchard, of St. John's Church, with which Mrs. Lachman had been connected for nearly sixty years.
She leaves two daughters, Mesdames E. E. Gillon "and J. E. Schloss, four grandchildren, Messrs. R. E. and J. L. Gillon, and A. L. Schloss, all of Wellington, and Mrs. S. Caro, Auckland. There are three great-grandchildren.
