Lady Hosking, who arrived at Wellington this week by the Awatea from Sydney after a year's absence in England, is spending a few days in Wellington as the guest of Lady Beauchamp.

Vice-Admiral and Mrs. F. A. Sommerville arid Mrs. Peren, who have been -spending a few days in Wellington, returned to Palmerston North this morning.. Admiral and Mrs. Sommerville, who will be the guests of Professor and Mrs. Peren at Massey College, will return to Wellington before leaving on their return to England.

Mr. and Mrs. Stanton Harcourt's second daughter, Margaret Annette, was married yesterday afternoon to Thomas Travers Newton Coleridge, only son of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. G. Coleridge, and grandson of Bishop Sprott, former Bishop of Wellington, and Mrs. Sprott. The wedding took place at St. Paul's Cathedral Church at 2.45 p.m.' The service was fully choral, and Bishop Sprott, assisted by the Rev. Canon D. J. Davies, performed the ceremony. Mr. Harcourt escorted his daughter, and Miss Mollie Coleridge (sister of the bridegroom) and Miss Moya Hempton were her bridesmaids. Mr. Peter Luxford was best man, and the ushers were Messrs. Brian Keiller, of Palmerston North (brother-in-law of the bride), Godfrey Harcourt (the bride's brother), Geoffrey Thomas, and Dr. John HardwickSmith.

Finest panne velvet stamped with a large design of spreading orchids formed the bride's beautiful gown. It was mounted on shell pink crepe de chine which gave it the effect of pink pearl. A single row of pearls set on a gold band formed her head-dress and held in place her veil of delicate Honiton and Limerick lace mounted on Brussels net. The veil was lent by Mrs. H. B.
