WILDFLOWER WELL

GALLOPS FOR WAVERLEY

(Special to the "Evening Post.") PALMERSTON N., This Day. Awapuni stables will be represented at the Waver ley Meeting on Saturday and horses from this centre should run well.

Wildflower, who is in the Patea County Handicap with 8.0, has done well since her Feilding victory. Yesterday she galloped seven furlongs on the plough with Guiding Light and she finished on the better to register lmin 32 4-ssec, after the first half-mile had taken 51 3-ssec, a good effort on this track. ''Guiding Light is now a member of C. Thomson's team. ' Strolling, who will be ridden by I. JRohloff at Waverley, . was schooled, giving a really good exhibition. j Golden Ridge was sprinted five furlongs, but without any idea of breaking the watches, and he was going along well to cover the last three in 40 3-ssec. W. Jenkins will have the ride at Waverley. Hanover, who lost some skin when he came to grief at Ellerslie, was out being exercised. . Beaupartir was jogged round. He is not likely to race until the spring, and it is probable that he will go back to Okawa for a spell. . Riding engagements announced for Waverley ■ are:—G. R. Tattersall, Guiding Light, .Wildflower Fiancee, and.Ramleh; H. Stewart, Silvanus; W. Jenkins, Golden Ridge Te Morehu; and I. Rohloff,,Strolling. W. J. Broughton will also be at Waverley, but his book is as yet uncertain.
