WOMEN NATIONAL OWNERS
Eleven of the runners in this year's Liverpool Grand National Steeplechase were owned by women. They were Royal Mail (Mrs. C. Evans, nee Canaille Clifford, the famous "Gibson Girl"), Brendan's Cottage (Mrs. A, Smith Bingham), Perfect Part (Mrs. V. Fitzgerald), Luckpenny (Mrs. H. M. Hollins), Black Hawk (Mrs. C. Jones), War Vessel (Mrs. M. Scott), Second Act (Mrs. A. A. S. Villar), Montrejeau II (Lady Granard), Milano: (Mrs. L. E. Stoddard), Kilstar (Miss D. Paget), and Deslys (Mrs. Ackernley). Kilstar finished third, and only Royal Mail among the others completed the course.
