POTATO EMBARGO
HOPE FOR EXTENSION OF MODIFICATION
(Received April 15, 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Among the passengers aboard the Awatea, which left yesterday for Wellington, is Mr. R. Tennant, of the New Zealand Department of Agriculture, who, before his- departure, expressed the hope that the Commonwealth Government would extend its modification of the potato embargo for a further period to enable the South Island surplus crop to be marketed |in Australia.
