NEW ZEALAND GOODS
SUPPORT FOR CAMPAIGN
Congratulations to the Government on having initiated the "Buy New Zealand Goods" campaign were extended by the annual conference of the New Zealand Labour Party yesterday afternoon. The conference called upon all members of branches and affiliated unions wholeheartedly to support the proposal, and failing New Zealand goods being available, to purchase British-made goods.
The motion passed also urged the High Commissioner's Office to carry out a campaign among British trade unionists to encourage the consumption of New Zealand's primary products. On the recommendation of the committee which considered the question, it was decided to congratulate the High Commissioner on the campaign he was already carrying out.
Another remit adopted recommended the Government to take whatever action might be necessary to reduce prices and thus enable the people of New Zealand to consume more milk and fruit
