The weather was overcast, but there was a large attendance, and the track was good for the second day of the Riverton Racing Club's Meeting.

Novice Handicap, £150; 7 furlongs. — 5-3 Merry Simon, 8.9 (Boyle), *1; 7-6 Ramana, 8.1, 2; 2-4 Black Bard, 8.2, 3. AH started. Length and a half; length. Time, lmin 29 3-ssec. Otaitai Steeplechase, £200;" about 1 miles.—4-4 Rifle Range, 9.2 (Richards), 1; 2-2 Md'ster Balboa, 9.3, 2; 3-3 La Boca. 3. All started. Four lengths; fifteen lengths.
Flying Handicap, £250; 6 furlongs.— 1-2 Strip, 8.1 (Ellis), 1; 3-4 Phalanx, 8.11 (H. Phillips), 2; 2-1 Spanish Lad, 8.11 (Mackie), 3. All started. Half a length; two lengths. Time, lmin 13 3-ssec.
