Thursday's closing prices for the following raw materials were as follows, those for March 31 being shown in parentheses:— Cotton. —Liverpool* quotation, good American middling, spot, 4.92 d a lb (4.95 d); May delivery, 4.50 d a lb (4.56 d). Rubber.—-Para, 7d a lb (same); plantation smoked ribbed sheet, 8d a lb (same). Jute.—April-May shipment, Indian jute, Dundee quotation, £24 12s 6d a ton (same). Copra.—April-May shipment, sundried South Sea, to London of Rotterdam, £9 15s a ton (same); smoked, to Marseilles or Genoa, £9 12s 6d a ton (same); plantation, Rabaul, to London or Rotterdam, £10 15s a ton (same). Linseed 0i1.—£26 10s a ton (same). Turpentine.—36s a cwt (36s 9d).
