"PLAYLAND"
CLEARING THE SITE
The site of "Playland," which to many mople will be the greatest attraction at the Centennial Exhibition, will be commenced on Monday, and the building of the ten-acre amusement park will probably begin next month. Among hitherto unannounced attractions, the director, Mr. Henry SefiV proposes to establish a miniature Australian Zoo, reproducing a section of the Australian bush, with many of its interesting animals, but no snakes. There will be a huge, brilliantly lit steel tower, and it is intended to have a 60ft pool containing a large number of Australian man-eating sharks.
