PARTIES FOR BRIDE-TO-BE
Miss Ethel Thomas, Lower Hutt, whose marriage to Mr. Malcolm A. Eider, Christchurch. will take place shortly, was guest of honour on Wednesday afternoon at a party given by Mrs. C. Ashenden at her home in Lyall Bay. The many guests present had each brought a parcel, which when opened by the bride-to-be, revealed gifts suitable for her bathroom. Other hostesses for Miss Thomas have been Mrs. F. Williams, Lower Hutt, who arranged a kitchen evening; Mrs. C. Liddle, Kelburn, who gave a pantry party, and Miss Ngaire Mulligan, one of her bridesmaids, who entertained at an evening party.
