SYDNEY, March 30
The wheat market today showed an improvement, with a stronger inquiry at higher levels. Silo grain is quoted at 2s 4_d a bushel, and bagged at 2s 7d. Flour, £12 10s a ton. Bran and pollard, £5. Potatoes, Tasmanian £24 a ton, others £20. Supplies are short, but locals are due at any moment. Onions, New Zealand, brown, £25 a ton; Victorian, white, ' £22. Maize* prime yellow, 4s a bushel.
