MR. EDEN'S MOTION
AMENDMENT TABLED
CONFIDENCE IN GOVERNMENT

LONDON, March 29
Over 150 members of the House of Commons have tabled an amendment to Mr. Anthony Eden's motion for the formation of a National Government on the widest possible basis, as follows:— "This House affirms its complete confidence in the Prime Minister and deprecates any attempt at the present critical time to undermine the confidence of the House and the country in the Prime Minister and the Government."
Two of the signatories of Mr. Eden's motion have withdrawn their support.
