DIVISIONS FOR OVERSEAS

(Received March 30, 12.15 p.m.)

LONDON, March 29,

In the House of Commons Sir Archibald Sinclair pledged the Liberals to support recruitment for the increased Territorial Army.

Mr. F. J. Bellenger (Labour) asked: "Will this make any difference to the number of divisions which the Minister of War announced on March 8 as being available for overseas service?"

Mr. Chamberlain: Yes, it doubles the number that will be ultimately available.

The Foreign Under-Secretary, Mr. Butler, informed Mr. G. L. M. Mander (Liberal) that the Government would not consider adhering to the FrancoSoviet Pact.
