TAURANGA IMPROVEMENTS
The newly-formed Gate Pa Racecourse at Tauranga, which was raced on for the first time last Saturday and Monday, met with general satlsfactiqn and the approval of all interested in racing. The track, which is well turfed and is now right-handed, has a circumference of nine furlongs. A wellbanked turn at the straight entrance and a run home of two furlongs provide every facility required for good racing. Added to these improvements is a new grandstand, which should also further contribute to the popularity of this progressive club.
