Sir Kingsley Wood, replying to the debate in the House of Commons on the Air Estimates, said that the Air Ministry had received requests for Hawker Hurricanes and Supermarine Spitfires from all parts of the would.
He added that British bombing types were even better, and faster types would be coming shortly. The Minister was satined that the present multi-gun fighters are capable of shooting down any type 'of bomber.
