MILKING PATENT CASE
The illness in Palmerston North of an expert witness for the defence has resulted in the adjournment until Monday afternoon of the milking patent case which has been occupying the Supreme Court since Tuesday. The plaintiff, William Hutchison, of Hawera, alleges infringement c< his patent rights for an automatic vacuum controlling device by J. D. Howell and J. D. Sinclair, manufacturers and agents, of Dannevirke. The case, which would have concluded yesterday but for the illness of the witness, is being heard by Mr. Justice Blair. The means by which the evidence of the witness will be taken will be decided on Monday.
Mr. G. G. G. Watson, with him Mr. M. H. Vautier, is appearing for the plaintiff, and Mr. H. R. Cooper (Palmerston North) for the defendant. A restraining injunction is claimed.
