CATALOGUES giving full particulars ot these highly bred Imported Brood Mares sent trom England, to "the Domin™n i ], iqindatlon at auction by the Thoroughbred Export Co. are now obtainable from the undersigned. The breeding of these young mates represents the best English and trench blaod. They are splendid individuals, and are all in foal to the wellrperforineil and fashion-ably-bred young French horse, Lang Bian, who is by the great French sire and stayer, Massine (Ascot Gold Cup,' etc.),' and descends from the famous mare, Baroness La Fleche. This is-the most notable collection of brood mares yet imported to the Dominion and offers to studmasters here an opportunity which, is unique, as these mares are due to foal in August and September. Inspection can be arranged at any time. Immediately following the above, SALE OF YEARLINGS AND YOUNQ STOCK, by GUSTAVO, PAPER MONEY, ETC. On behalf of Mr. L. C. Haziett, Salisbury, Otago, eight yearlings by Gustavo, and two untried three-year-olds by Paper Money, from Ravenna (dam of C.J.C Stew» ards' winner, Alma, etc.)/ Saxophone (good winner), Pink Terrace (Oaks winner), Firette (closely related Cupidon), Traction" (half-sister to Alma, Travenna, etc.), Callbird (half-sister to High Gear, etc.), Tractora (sister to Tractona), .Water Power (good winner), Firette (sac above), and Air Valve (sister to High Gear, etc.). These yearlings are well grown but have not been pampered. They,are good types 'and represent excellent ■ winning strains of the 14, 18, and 3 families. The fillies should eventually make excellent brood mares. Gustavo, the sire of the yearlings, with very few runners is already the sire of winners and young stock by him show plenty of promise.
