GLADIOLI & DAHLIAS
HUTT VALLEY SHOW
Applications for space at the Hutt Valley Horticultural Society's midsummer show, to be held on February 15, were considered at a largelyattended meeting of the show committee held recently. The show is one of the most colourful held during the year.
A large stand of begonias, some varieties of which have not previously been seen in the Dominion, will be quite a feature. Space in the gladiola section has been requested from Wanganui and Christchurch. Dahlias are sure to be largely represented, as some of the most important growers and importers oi ngw varieties have asked for space. Displays will represent Palmerston North and Feilding growers, as well as all the local nurserymen,.
Hydrangeas are always a feature of the show, and with the high quality this flower has now, attained there should be some very fine exhibits in this section. The show promises to be as good as, if not better than, any other which has been held in the Hutt Valley in midsummer.
