Commodore and Mrs. H. E. Horan and Miss Sheila Horan will leave Wellington at the weekend for a holiday visit to Rotorua. Mrs. A. de B.Brandon, Hobson Street, will leave for a visit to her daughter, Mrs. Birch, Dannevirke, and will later stay with Mrs. Herrick, Hawke's Bay. Mrs. Lamartine Dwan, Kerikeri, will visit Hawera and Wellington before leaving for Sydney. Miss Patricia Gilmer, Wellington, who has been spending about six months in England and on the Continent, left from Tilbury on January 6 by the Rangitiki, which is bound for Auckland, states a message from "The Post's'\London correspondent. Mrs. Wyn Scammel, Wellington, returned by the Awatea yesterday after a month's cruise to Fremantle and all the Australian ports. Mrs. T. Revell and Miss Ngareta Humphrey, Auckland,, are visiting Mrs. Pat Ward, Martinborough. Miss Ethel Trewavas, Motueka, is spending a holiday in Wellington, and will visit Palmerston North before returning home.
