The Nelson Trotting Club, which has ■ j been beset hy many difficulties during! the past few years, is making a deter- , inined bid to again establish the 'lightharness sport in the district, * and its! meeting on January 28 ; and February Ibi will be endowed with £1800 in ; stakes I and trophies. No race will be worths less than £100. The club does not aim! to attrabt the best class of ..pacer, but. the .Nelson Cup, of £200, should encourage some promising material to. make the trip. > Entries will be taken up to Monday,?
