AID TO THE CLEANER
.•" . - Municipal cleansing services have been greatly simplified by the advent of the mechanical horse. In Britain today one tax covers a motive unit and an unlimited number of easily-detach-able trailers; one motive unit is capable of keeping two or more trailers employed simultaneously and, further, can negotiate the most congested traffie. Then, again, there is a trailer to meet every need in public cleansing— a refuse collector, bin collector, gully emptier, street washer, etc. For emergency purposes this last machine can be used as an auxiliary fire engine or poison gas decontaminator.
