LEEWAY TO BE MADE UP

Returns of overseas trade for eleven months ended November 30 last show a reduction of nearly £1,000,000 in the value of imports when comparison is made with the corresponding period of last year. The value of exports for the same period, however, is less than 1937 by over £7,500,000. The figures as supplied (excluding specie) are as follows:— Eleven Excess of j months Exports. For November this year, too, the value of exports is greater than that of November, 1937, by £277,000. The returns for November for the past three years are as follows: — Excess Exports.
